To start, gather all your ingredients in one place.
Then prepare the green beans. Once they are washed and the ends are cut, take a pot of boiling water and place the beans in it for 2-3 minutes until cooked.
Then, heat oil in a cast iron skillet. Once the oil is heated, add the garlic and cook until fragrant.
Add the green beans and season to taste with salt and pepper.
Cook the beans for 30 seconds. Add water and cover the beans with a lid. Cook the beans for 2 minutes. At this point you can also add some southwest spice blend for amazing flavors!
