Fathead Dough is a gluten-free keto dough made with mozzarella, cream cheese, egg, and a low-carb flour. It can be used for many recipes, including fathead pizza, fathead bagels and even fathead calzones. But did you know that you can also use fathead dough to make keto fathead cookies? You definitely can and so here is the recipe for these delicious keto sugar cookies that you need to try for the holidays.

Made with just a handful of keto ingredients, these fathead cookies have just 0.5 grams of carbs per serving and are soft, buttery, and perfect for a keto Christmas treat!

Ingredients for sugar cookies

  • 2 oz. Cream cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella, grated
  • 3 tablespoons of softened butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered erythritol
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder

How to Make Keto Sugar Cookies

To make these sugar-free sugar cookies, you first need to gather all of your ingredients in one place.

Next, melt the cream cheese and mozzarella in a small bowl in the microwave for 1 minute. Be sure to mix well to combine.

In another bowl, cream together the butter, sweetener, vanilla and egg whites. Then add the baking powder and almond flour and continue mixing. Themthe mixture will be crumbly.

At this point, add the cream cheese mixture to the flour mixture and stir.

Work the dough by hand until well mixed and shape the big head dough into a ball which you will leave to rest for 5 minutes.

Shape into a cylinder (like store-bought cookie dough) and refrigerate for an additional 30 minutes.

Cut this easy-to-make keto cookie dough into 12 slices. Then bake at 350 F in a preheated oven for 15 to 18 minutes.
