Fresh herbs (parsley, dill or chives)

Sesame seeds

Sesame seeds are a popular choice for topping dips. They add a delicious crunch and nutty touch to your beet and butter bean dip. Lightly toast the sesame seeds for an even richer flavor, then sprinkle them generously on top.

Recipe tips and variations

Variety of dips: Although pita chips are a classic choice, feel free to get creative with your dips. Try carrot sticks, cucumber slices, pepper strips, or whole wheat crackers for a diverse snacking experience.

Flavor variations: While boiled beets work well, use roasted beets for a deeper flavor profile.

Prepare in advance: You can prepare pita chips the day before and store them in an airtight container. This is a great time-saving hack.

Cooling time: For a finer flavor, refrigerate the dip for an hour or two before serving. This allows the flavors to blend together beautifully.

Pita Chip Variations: Spice up your pita chips with a sprinkle of your favorite seasonings like rosemary, garlic powder, or za’atar.

For a creamy texture: Add ice cubes for a creamier, hummus-like texture.

Time-saving tip: Save time by using precooked beets found in the produce section of most grocery stores.

Storage advice: Storing Dip: If you have leftover Beet and Butter Bean Dip, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It will stay fresh for up to 3 days.
